Eyes up | heart open | feet to faith
Run with purpose. Move with mission.
The very first HEARTBEAT FOR JESUS 5K is Saturday, May 10, 2025, and we’re inviting YOU to be part of this faith-filled, heart-pumping movement!
This isn’t just your normal 5k race—it’s a feet-to-faith movement designed to revive hearts, strengthen the body of Christ, and equip you to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
We believe that when we train our bodies, we also train our hearts —to endure, to persevere, and to serve.
♥️ Proceeds for the race go to a local non-profit https://lovemissions.net to help fight human trafficking!

The word "heart" is mentioned 600 times in the ESV bible, symbolizing not just the physical organ but also the spiritual and emotional center of a person. God’s pursuit of our hearts is an expression of His relentless love, drawing us into a deeper, more intimate relationship with Him and enabling us to live fully in His grace and truth (1 John 4:19). He seeks our genuine, wholehearted love and devotion which naturally leads us to obey His commandments (Matthew 22:36-40). Inside out transformation begins in the heart when God changes our heart and spirit to align with His will and character (Ezekiel 36:26). The heart is the source of our thoughts, words, and actions, and by capturing our hearts, God ensures that our lives reflect His love and righteousness (Matthew 12:34). Studying scripture about the “heart” is good for us because it helps us understand God's love and His plan for our lives to live more like Him.
The fast pace of modern life, with its constant distractions from technology, social media, and busy lifestyles can make it challenging for people to slow down. Taking time out to cultivate a deep love for God while physically slowing down during a jog and breathing through movement, focusing on heart-centered scripture, encourages reflection and a sense of delight in being 'fearlessly and wonderfully made’.
